The Whitez Club in Sketty, formerly known as the Green Baize
Club,has been completely refurbished and boasts 12 brand-new
tables, including an Aristocrat table as used in the world
professional championships, and also two pool tables.
Business woman Susan Briggs from Glyneath has decided
to give up her career in the bank and concentrate on and
develop the snooker club to a high standard.
It is also here intention to apply for planning permission on the
ground floor to accommodate English and American pool
tables and a separate bar.
The club has also entered teams in the Swansea
Snooker League and also intends to stage tournaments
A coaching scheme is also in place and is being set up by a
Welsh snooker coach. Anyone wanting coaching should
